Frequently Asked Questions

1. Are there any changes to my 911 emergency services?

You still have access to emergency services through dialing 911, however there are some changes that you need to be aware of. These are addressed in the myPHONE End User License Agreement. You’re acceptance of these terms is required before your myPHONE is installed.

2. How does myPHONE work?

We simply connect your broadband Internet connection to the phone adapter that is provided and then connect your telephone to the phone adapter. When you make calls, your voice is routed through the adapter built into your modem. You can’t tell that you're talking over the internet, and the person you're talking to can’t tell, either. The only things you’ll notice are the clarity of the call and all the great features that come with the service. Oh, and the reduced phone bill is hard to miss, too!

3. How do I make a call?

Pick up the receiver and dial! Except you’ll need to dial the area code for all calls, even local ones. Don’t worry local numbers are not long distance calls.

4. What features are included in myPHONE services?

myPHONE comes loaded with features like call waitng, call answer, call forward, call display, and three way calling. More information on these features can be found on our myPHONE services page or by downloading the myPHONE User Guide.

 

Setting Up Your Voicemail

Before you use the Call Answer feature you will need to set up your mailbox with your personal password. If it’s the first time you’ve used Call Answer or if you are a new subscriber to our myPHONE service, you’ll be prompted to enter the default password we assigned to you when you purchased your service. The default password is 1324.

To set up your mailbox from your home phone:
1. Dial *98
2. When prompted enter the 4 digit default password (1324)
3. Press 0 to acess Mailbox Options. This is where you will be able to change your
password and set up a voice recording.
4. To change the default password press 5 and follow the prompts

To set up your mailbox from your another phone:
1. Dial your area code + digital phone number. When your voicemall picks up,
press *98
2. When prompted enter the 4 digit default password (1234)
3. Press 0 to acess Mailbox Options. This is where you will be able to change your password and set up a voice recording.
