Setting Up New E-mail Accounts

Configuring Outlook Express For Macintosh
Launch Outlook Express.
Click Tools then Accounts. The Accounts window appears.
Click the Mail tab.
Click the New button. The New Accounts window appears.
From the drop-down menu, select POP, and click OK. The Edit Accounts window appears.
As your Name, enter the name you wish others to see in the from: field when you send mail to them.
Type your e-mail address (ex. user@i-zoom.net) beside E-mail address.
Type your username (the portion of your e-mail address before @i-zoom.net or @kawarthanet.com"). DO NOT enter your full Email address as this may cause you problems when sending mail.
Input pop3.i-zoom.net (high-speed customers) or mail.kawarthanet.com (dial-up customers) into the POP server field.
Enter your e-mail account password (which is case sensitive). You can check the box if you want your password to be saved.
Input smtp.i-zoom.net (high-speed customers) or mail.kawarthanet.com (dial-up customers) into the outgoing mail (SMTP) field.
Click OK. The Accounts window will reappear.
Click OK to exit the Internet Accounts window, your e-mail account set up is complete.
Configuring Microsoft Outlook 98
Launch Outlook 98.
Click Tools then Accounts.
Note: If you selected the 'Corporate or Workgroup' option rather than 'Internet Only' while installing Outlook, you will see 'Services' rather than 'Accounts' under the Tools menu.
Click Add then Mail.
Type your full name in the Display name field then click Next. This is the name that will appear in the From: field when you send e-mail to others.
Type your e-mail address in the e-mail address field, then click Next.
Select POP3 as the incoming mail server type.
Input pop3.i-zoom.net (high-speed customers) or mail.kawarthanet.com (dial-up customers) into the Incoming mail server (POP3) field.
Input smtp.i-zoom.net (high-speed customers) or mail.kawarthanet.com (dial-up customers) into the outgoing mail server field then click next.
Type the first half of your e-mail address (joeblow@i-zoom.net would use joeblow) in the Account Name field.
Enter in your e-mail account password (which is case sensitive). You can set Outlook to remember your password if you don't want to type it in every time you check for new messages.
Ensure that the Secure Password Authentication box is UNCHECKED, and click Next.
Click Finish.
Click Close to close the Internet Accounts window.
Configuring Microsoft Outlook 2000
Launch Outlook 2000.
Click Tools then Accounts.
Note: If you selected the 'Corporate or Workgroup' option rather than 'Internet Only' while installing Outlook, you will see 'Services' rather than 'Accounts' under the Tools menu.

Type the first half of your e-mail address (joeblow@i-zoom.net would use joeblow) in the Account Name field.

Configuring Microsoft Outlook XP
Launch Outlook XP.
Select Tools then Email Accounts.
Select Add a new e-mail account. Click Next.
Select POP3 as the Server Type. Click Next.
The E-mail accounts window appears. From the E-mail accounts window:
a) Type your full name beside Your Name.
b) Type your e-mail address beside E-mail Address (ex. user@i-zoom.net).
c) Type the first half of your e-mail address beside User Name (ex. user@i-zoom.net would type in user).
d) Type your account password in the Password field. You can also check the box if you want your password to be saved.
e) Type pop3.i-zoom.net (high-speed customers) or mail.kawarthanet.com (dial-up customers) as your Incoming mail server (pop3).
f) Type smtp.i-zoom.net (high-speed customers) or mail.kawarthanet.com (dial-up customers) as your Outgoing mail server (smtp).
Click Next and then Finish.
Configuring Netscape Messenger
NOTE: We recommend you print these instructions then close Netscape. Netscape must be closed in order to add a new profile.
Start your User Profile Manager by double clicking its icon in the Netscape : Utilities folder on a Mac, or by clicking Start then Programs -> Netscape Communicator -> Utilities -> User Profile Manager in Windows.
The Profile Manager window will appear. This window will list all of your current e-mail profiles.
Click on the New button. The Creating a New Profile Window will appear.
Click Next.
In the Full Name: field enter the name you want others to see in the From: field when you send e-mail.
In the Email Address field enter your e-mail address (i.e. joeblow@i-zoom.net).
Click Next, the Choose a Name and Directory for your Profile window will appear.
In the Profile Name: field enter a unique name (i.e. Joe's E-mail).
Click Next. The Set up your Outgoing Mail Server window will appear.
In the Outgoing mail (SMTP) server: field enter smtp.i-zoom.net (high-speed customers) or mail.kawarthanet.com (dial-up customers).
Click Next.
In the Mail server user name: field enter your username (i.e. joeblow).
In the Incoming Mail Server: field enter pop3.i-zoom.net (high-speed customers) or mail.kawarthanet.com (dial-up customers).
Ensure that the Mail Server type: is POP3.
Click Next. Click Finish.
Launch Netscape Messenger using the profile you just created.
Click Edit, then Preferences. The Preferences window appears.
On the left, click on the small triangle beside Mail & Newsgroups, the tree expands.
Click on Mail Servers.
On the right, in the Outgoing mail server name: field, ensure that you have entered ONLY your username (the portion of your e-mail address before @i-zoom.net or @kawarthanet.com). DO NOT enter your full e-mail address as doing so may cause you problems when sending mail.
Click OK.
Configuring Netscape 6
Note: We recommend you print these instructions then close Netscape. Netscape MUST be closed in order to add a new profile.
Start your User Profile Manager by double clicking its icon in the Netscape : Utilities folder on a Mac, or by clicking Start -> Programs -> Netscape Communicator -> Utilities -> User Profile Manager in Windows.
The Profile Manager dialog box will appear. Select Create Profile, then click Next.
Type a name for your new profile. Ensure that this profile name is different from your current profile name.
Note: If you don't provide a different name for your new profile, your account information including bookmarks, email messages and your address book will be overwritten.
Click Finish. The Select User Profile window appears.
Select your new profile, then click Start Netscape 6.
Click the envelope icon on Netscape's status bar, the Account Wizard appears.
Select ISP or e-mail provider in the New Account Setup window. Click Next.
Type your full name in the in the Your Name field, and your e-mail address in the Email Address window. Click Next.
Leave POP3 selected as the incoming server type.
Set Incoming mail server to pop3.i-zoom.net (high-speed customers) or mail.kawarthanet.com (dial-up customers).
Set Outgoing mail (SMTP) server to smtp.i-zoom.net (high-speed customers) or mail.kawarthanet.com (dial-up customers). Click Next.
Type your username (i.e. joeblow@i-zoom.net would use joeblow) in the User Name field. Click Next.
Type a "friendly name" (i.e. Joe's Mail) for your new account.
Click Next. Select Finish.
