No dialing in, no busy signals, no unexpected disconnects, absolutely no hassles!
The i-zoom service provides all the features your family needs to enjoy the Web, including a customized browser, unlimited use for a flat monthly fee, multiple email accounts, personal Web Space, technical support, and search & navigation tools.
Not to mention a whole new dimension of revolutionary content you can't find anywhere else. Watch video clips on demand. Listen to CD-quality music while you surf. Pummel your rivals in the hottest online games -- all without the delays experienced on typical dial-up connections.
How fast is the i-zoom service?
Incomparably fast! No other Internet service for your home can compete with the speed of i-zoom's cable connection. A 56K modem offers only twice the speed of a 28.8K modem, while i-zoom is up to 100 times faster!
What makes i-zoom so fast?
i-zoom leverages the high bandwidth capabilities of cable TV lines, as well as a hierarchical, distributed network architecture with proprietary caching and replication technologies to overcome many of the bottlenecks that plague typical Internet connections today.

i-zoom uses the browsers that are already installed on your computer. In most cases, this is Internet Explorer. Netscape can be downloaded if the user prefers.

What is a cable modem?
A cable modem is an external device that hooks up to your computer. Instead of getting an internet connection through your telephone wire, you get a connection through your cable network (the same place your cable TV Connection comes from). Cable modems translate radio frequency (RF) signals to and from the cable plant into Internet Protocol (IP), the communications protocol spoken by all computers connected to the Internet.
Does i-zoom install new cable in my neighborhood?
Instead of installing new cable in your neighborhood, your local cable provider modifies and upgrades the existing cable TV network to handle two-way data. The process involves adding signal amplifiers to create a dedicated upstream data channel from your home to the cable TV plant.
If I don't subscribe to cable TV, can I still get the i-zoom service?
Yes. Depending on your home, apartment, and availability, a connection from the neighborhood cable system to the desired location within your home may be necessary. However, you are not obligated to subscribe to a cable television service to receive i-zoom.
Can I have more than one email address?
i-zoom supports up to 6 email addresses as part of the monthly fee.
What web browsers does i-zoom support?
i-zoom currently supports either Netscape Communicator or Internet Explorer.
Can I watch TV and use i-zoom at the same time?
Yes. Neither television nor data signals are affected by simultaneous use.
How can I get cable from the TV in my living room to the PC in my bedroom?
One of the advantages of using i-zoom is that, in most cases, it uses the existing cable that is already in your home. This cable is capable of carrying both video signals and data signals at the same time. While it may only be necessary to install a splitter on the existing cable, due to the potential of introducing noise or interference into the cable system, a cable technician will perform the installation of the splitter and cable outlet in the secondary location. If user-installed splitters are already present, the technician will perform quality assurance tests before deeming the service operational, and, if necessary, will rewire the outlet to meet proper specifications.
Can I hook up more than one computer to my cable modem?
i-zoom offers access for two computers For an additional small monthly fee, you can have up to five machines running off of one modem so you can have your own home network.
Can I attach a server to your network?
No. The i-zoom service is for residential, casual use only and does not support or allow servers of any kind from the home. At this time, we offer products that allow the kind of connectivity a server requires.
