Use the tool below to test your network connection speed:
This test uses a Java applet to test your i-zoom high speed connection. You can download the Java plug-in from here:
http://www.java.com/en/download/windows_xpi.jsp
This broadband Java based test, measures the upload and download speed of your connection and compares the results
to typical speeds measured by a number of alternate Internet Service Providers across the country.
Please keep in mind that your download speed can be affected by any of the following factors:
- New and faster computers process downloads more quickly than older machines. Example: a Pentium IV 3 GHz may download faster than a Pentium 233 MHz.
- Your results will be affected if you have other programs running during the test. An example of this would be Microsoft Word, any graphics programs, etc.
- If you are connecting through a local area network (LAN) in your home, it could impede the flow of data to your computer, thus resulting in slower download speeds.
- If you have a firewall installed, please temporarily disable it. Some firewalls may slightly affect download speeds.
- While performing this test, make sure that you are not doing any other downloading or uploading as this will affect your speed test results.
